Creating shifts in self, others, relationships and fields
The previous seminars of Asaf Rolef Ben-Shahar in Belgium during the last decade had such a success that they were full the day of announcement. This was great and at the same time a disappointment for all those who were not able to join. That’s why we now open our doors for a new group of people who wish to learn and experience Asaf’s work – relational therapy, shamanic explorations, embodied being.
Bringing together systemic thinking, kabala, shamanic work and relational body psychotherapy, the workshop is first and foremost experiential, where learning comes from being and doing the material we cover. We will practice ways to transform ourselves and others in relationships. Within a theoretical framework we will explore, share and learn in practical exercises and body-mind-soul experiences. A variation of interactive learning forms in groups, pairs, solo and demonstration. Music and movement whenever we relax and integrate.
Relational coaching and therapy is a relatively new development in human sciences, which places a special emphasis on the unfolding connection between those who share the field. Together, we create a playfield and enter it; it is a game. The game is governed by rules, some of which we know, others we discover as we go along. Are we happy in our game? Are we able to create meaning and assist others in doing so?
To work relationally is to loosen prescribed protocols and treat connection as improvisational art, where joy and meaning blend together with professionalism and transformative change. To work relationally is to consciously embrace human dynamics with flexibility, creativity and integrity. In many ways, relational work represents a return to a shamanic worldview where the self is seen as first and foremost a shared field, and only later an individual.
Systemic thinking, body psychotherapy, shamanism and trancework, kabala – all these models and more will be used to experientially open us to the thinking and practice of relational fields. Looking at ourselves as a part of something bigger, as well as a relationship between our inner parts could support our personal and professional journey.
The workshop will offer exciting experiential learning - personal and professional - for coaches, psychotherapists, group-facilitators, constellators and others who wish to bring deeper connections and transforming authenticity into their work with people.
Spoken language during the workshop is English. We will translate when needed.
